Pregnant and I know it...

I was told by a friend (when she found out I was pregnant) that if my pregnancy didn't make my blog then she had no idea what would. That was about a month in a half to two months ago. I have tried to blog about it often however I am uneasy because of so many people who have a hard time getting pregnant and every time they hear about someone else it makes them depressed. I didn't want to cause someone hurt,  but I also just couldn't think of anything clever to say about. I sure wish I was clever and witty like Anna. Alas I am not, which is probably why I did not major in English and teach English.
So with no further ado, I am pregnant, with a boy, and am 20 weeks. WOW! I know. I am growing everyday. Last night my tummy was super tight and my loving husband said, just wait till the morning, you won't be tight anymore but you'll have some more stretch marks. Yep. Fantastic. Just what I want to hear. hahaha But so completely true. Thanks babe for loving my ever growing belly. I HATED the first trimester. I was queezy until week fourteen. But I am LOVING the second trimester. I have energy. I am getting tons done. (mainly sewing) and keeping my house clean. I can feel the little man move. Today he is super active. Swimming wherever he can fit. What will I need for the new addition? Any advise. I am open to it. However, I am promising to not use the majority of it.

Pomp and Circumstance...

I think not...Danny and I graduated December 17th. After the huge event on the 16th, my parents made the comment, "Wow, that felt like General Conference". There was no traditional Pomp and Circumstance song, there was no clapping, there was no shouting or congratulating or encouraging us for the future. It was General Conference. The president of the Unversity, Brother Clark started off by explaining to everyone that there will be no clapping or shouting or congratulating. Elder Cook of the Quorum of the Twelve spoke, to be honest I quit listening. It was about how we will influence people everywhere we go. Ya I've been taught that since I was three so I tuned out. Our VP of the University, Brother Eyring, (President Eyring's son) spoke as well. That was a good talk. Still not so much encouragement as warning. I had a grand total of 3 friends who were graduating, Celina, Sarah, and of course Hubs.

I'm sure my parents and his parents have better pictures, but this is what I have to work with from our Ipod Touch. Sorry. However, we are DONE! For now. At least two more years are calling out for D, where you ask? NO CLUE! The world is at our hands.

INTRODUCING...

Gus, or Roper, or Gremlin, or any other name I feel like he should be. That's right, we got a puppy. He is 2 months old and we have had him for a week in a half.  I think I am in over my head. He is a true Gremlin after 5:00pm. It is kind of scary. He prefers flesh to bones, and long hair over anything. He has learned he can escape through our fence because he is small enough to fit through the holes, he eats the bottom of our box springs, sleeps on the bathroom floor by the toilet, and has learned that Danny and I are suckers and if he cries and whines we don't put him in the kennel. He also thinks our living room and kitchen are where he goes to the bathroom inside, and has learned how to knock over trash cans. I think we have our hands full. Positive note, he held his bladder for 7 hours last night!!! Accomplishment? I think yes! He likes to chase and harass the cows and try to sneak in with the pigs...who in fact would have no problem eating him right up. Here is to the next 15 years! Wish us luck!

Student Teaching

I started student teaching on September 6th. Ohh what a journey it has been. I just LOVE LOVE LOVE those little kiddos! kiddos just have a way of making days better, give me a reason to laugh, They inspire me to be better, and I just realized I have never passed a demeaning judgement against any of them. They try to please, even at age 9 and 10. I was scared to death to teach fourth graders, but I have truly enjoyed them. I am nervous for those sweet spirits when the time comes that I am done. I am nervous they are going to be broken from their teacher. She is sarcastic, yells, rude, and it makes me uncomfortable. I am the light in the classroom. They can come to me, tell me what is going on their lives, exciting, or sad. They tell me they love me and don't want me to leave. They also tell me that their "real" teacher is mean, and scary. They don't like her. It breaks my heart. I have 17 days left and am completely torn. I don't want to leave those cute kiddos who have touched my heart, but at the same time I cannot wait to get out of her classroom. WISH ME LUCK ON FINDING A JOB! :/

Water Wheel?

Ohh hey, did I mention we are going back in time. Danny had been researching, talking, dreaming, and more researching about water wheels, so he and his dad made one...it's in our back ditch, and with the ditch full it pumps about 2 gallons a minute...sometimes I wonder who I married. I must say though that I will never have to worry if something terrible happened in the world. L.O.V.E. HIM!

Need to get better

I sure need to get better at blogging...seven months is too long, however since we don't have kids, I feel like I have nothing to blog about. Here's to me getting better at blogging!

First off, MY BROTHER GOT HOME FROM HIS MISSION! He served for two years in Argentina! It was fantastic being able to be home with him for a few days.
Danny and I surprised Nathan at his gate. I was so nervous he would recognize me before I would be able to get a couple pictures snapped of my getting off the plane. He turned his head, double or triple looked at me, then walked over and was like WHAT ARE YOU DOING HERE?! hahaha It was fantastic! He is one of my best friends!

So Much to post....

So read at your risk.
Whelp, we finished another semester. We did really well too! So we decided to reward ourselves with a vacation to California were we stayed with our Fernandez friends, and went to my cousins wedding. Now I am starting my second to last semester TOMORROW, while Danny is playing (or he refers to it as working) with his friend Mike on his Sheep Dairy. He is so excited to have 4.5 months off, while I am excited to be done COMPLETELY in December. I took and PASSED my two required Praxis tests that I need in order to be certified to teach and am now trying to figure out what two more Praxis tests I should take in what subjects to be certified for middle school.

Well back to our California trip! Our friend Sara came to Rexburg on Wednesday to go to a teacher fair. She needed to go to Salt Lake on Friday to tour a school for a possible job, so I wake up go to work, run to my last class, and Danny drops her off at campus. We then proceed to drive to SLC, she visits the school for like 45 mins, and we drive back. We get home and get ready to leave to CA in the morning. The title we used for the week was ADVENTURE! We wake up get everyone in the car and leave. I am driving and the other 3 are sleeping. Danny wakes up and starts talking to me and I miss the exit I needed. Then in Wells, we were told our tires were incredibly worn down, (and they were), so we ended up purchasing 4 brand spankin' new tires. We get them on and get back on the highway to find feel and hear our car start to shake and go crazy. We go back, and they hadn't balanced one wheel right. So we get back on. We arrived! Sara and Juan were WONDERFUL to us! They took us to the redwood forest, to Santa Cruz Beach, Pier 39, Fisherman's Warf, Gheradelli Square, Boudin's Sour Dough Bread Factory, and China Town and Fort Point. Sara's mom took us to Costco to LOAD up on Boudin's Sour Dough bread and then Juan and Sara made a most delicious Carne Asada dinner! YUM! WE LOVED HAVING FRIENDS and cannot wait to play with them more in the future!
We got our two cows for the year and 25 chickens, and by the end of today we will have 6 little piggys! Another adventure.
We also celebrated our 1 year anniversary! We celebrated in style. We woke up, went to his parents house for biscuits made by their Georgian friends. Went and picked up pigs, went to campus with our Ellis friends, and Angie, built one side of our fence for our pasture with Josh, fed cows, went to the Dairy and milked cows and sheep, went back to the Mortensen's for some dinner, showered and went and played laser tag with Angie, Josh, Ben and Becca, and Derek and Starla. It was such a fun day, not nearly what I had in mind, but it was great fun! I can't believe a year has already passed and yet I can't believe it has only been a year. Until next time...
